The history of Młyn Klekotki Hotel begins in1402 when a wooden mill was constructed for Teutonic Knights. In 1539 the head of district – Mr. Eck von Reppichau became the owner of this place. Soon the place was passed to another owner – Donh family – one of the most powerful German aristocrats.
For many years the mill changed its owners and managers. In 1905 the water gate on Wąska river was built and the nearby pond was regulated. The facility could finally be independent from the Zimnochy lake water.
During both World Wars the mill was regularly plundered. The condition of the facility deteriorated year by year. In 1975-1979 the place was bought by the State Housing Management company which tried to renovate the miller house, the water gate and the water-retaining pond.
Since 1995 the owner of the facility has been Tirsped Ltd. company. The place has been thoroughly renovated. The idea of the renovation was to leave as many parts as possible in the original shape (parts of the wooden roof and ceiling, a decorative tiled stove, parts of machinery). The whole restoration process was conducted under the control of the local conservator. Right now we can enjoy this place which is full of life, beauty, guests and interesting history.
